Turkey Update: 7 dead in eastern clashes
A Turkish army officer and two soldiers were killed along with four Kurdish separatist rebels in clashes in eastern Turkey on Wednesday, security sources said. Five soldiers were wounded as Turkish security forces, backed by helicopters, fought the guerrillas of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in the mountainous region of Agri near the border with Iran late on Wednesday, the sources said....

Five people were killed and another was injured on Wednesday in two separate attacks in the northern city of Tikrit, according to police sources. A number of locals chased gunmen in a village south of Tikrit, and started shooting them, leading to the death of four gunmen and the wounding of a fifth who was later arrested, police sources told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa....

Israel: 2 Qassams land near Ashkelon
Two Qassam rockets fired from the northern Gaza Strip on Wednesday landed in the Zikim area, south of Ashkelon. No injuries or damage were reported.
